The 4-H Creative Collective Art Ambassador Team, is a dynamic group of youth aged 14-18 who demonstrate strong visual or performing arts skills and a commitment to leadership in the arts. Members serve two-year terms, participating in statewide events and activities. Responsibilities include contributing to program planning, attending trainings, and supporting arts programming in local communities. The program offers opportunities to develop leadership and life skills, advance artistic abilities, and collaborate with a team passionate about the arts.
Expected outcomes:
- Develop leadership and life skills through the arts.
- Opportunity to work and share ideas with a team of youth and adults that is committed to quality.
- Advance skills in a wide variety of artistic disciplines.
Meetings:
- We meet on the last Tuesday of the month from 7:30 - 8:30 pm via Zoom.
- Quarterly, we meet in person at rotating locations. In-person meetings will take the place of the virtual meeting for that month.
- Team members must attend at least 75% of the scheduled virtual calls each year.
Expectations/Requirements:
- Must meet application requirements.
- Must be mature and responsible.
- Must have strong visual or performing arts skills.
- Actively participate and engage in team meetings, trainings, and activities.
- Attend at least one day of the Illinois State Fair to lead the Art Ambassador booth activity.
- Maintain decorum in all university settings at all times.
- Provide leadership and support of IL 4-H arts programming in local communities.
